Sea Shine

These two sparkling beauties were so easy to make, I'm definitely going to make many more like these. The design here is as easy at it gets: a basic mesh pattern. No ruffles needed. Please, no fringe, no trim!  😎 The sparkle inside the yarn makes these items glam enough without any other fancy fluff.

The navy blue colored yarn (on the left) is "Vanna's Glamour" in fine weight. It is almost lacey, but much easier to work with than lace. The aqua colored yarn (on the right) is "Date Nights," a  medium weight fiber which feels much lighter than that, and is simply delightful to work with. Both yarns have just a bit of elasticity, which adds to the ease of working with them. I used a size K crochet hook, and I'm curious about trying a size larger and a size smaller with these yarns for future projects.

They drape beautifully, and will make perfect scarves for an evening out. With their sparkle, they almost look like necklaces. I might make thinner versions next time (maybe just two or three rows?) to really imitate the necklace look.

The way they fold and hang and hold their shape makes them perfect for posing.

I love posing crochet items. 😎

In addition to providing perfect poses, they could be used to decorate dull corners, and add a little bling to small spaces.

Ah, corners! I love perfect corners. 😃
