Blue Christmas

  I love blue! My love affair with blue goes way back: Blue Jean Baby , Winter Blues , Two Blue , Blue Moon . I can't stop lovin' blue. 😎 More and more, and more of the same. But different. Fluffy ruffle, colorful fringe, sparkle and texture. Deep blue, so deep, it is almost black in certain light. Pale blue, so pale, it could be mistaken for white. Love these contrasts!  So many blues, so little time. 😎My list of blue love goes on and on:  Turquoise Blue , Neptune's Beard ,  Earth and Mars ,  Sea Shine , Winter Mint . I love how one blue piled up on a different blue and wrapped around another blue is all a new kind of blue. 😁 Snuggle up with blue! 😍 The faux fur in pale blue looks so pale, it could almost be mistaken for white. So, I had to take a picture of it with a ball of white chenille on it, to prove that it is actually a teeny bit blue. 🤩 I am so intrigued by the asymmetrical shape of this scarf. Winter Mint

These two pretty pieces are as cool as they are warm. Not exactly true blue, maybe mixed with some sea-breezy green, the colors are minty fresh, like a cool autumn morning. And the fluffy textures compliment those colors perfectly, like being all tucked in all warm and snuggly on a winter night. I love the look and feel of these two scarves, and I could wear them year round. I had way too much fun experimenting with edging the ruffles. I don't know why I haven't done this before: double edging on a ruffle. I love it! And I am definitely going to do more of this. It adds so much definition to a single ruffle, it almost is like a double ruffle...I think. Maybe. Not sure, actually, what to call it. I know, technically it is not a double ruffle. But it could be in another crochet universe? I was worried these scarves wouldn't go with my favorite jean jacket...too much blue? all the wrong blues? clash and burn? No way!
