Glitter Fest

Image
This sparkly yarn is so fun to work with, and I love how it looks and feels. 😍 I t has a little bit of stretch to it, and still holds its shape really well. The yarn is called "Date Night," and even though I haven't been on a date in 35 years 😆  I still love it.  I have multiple leftovers from various projects, and I just can't throw out even a short string of this. I have plans now to take all t he leftovers and make a handful of tassels. 😎  Here's a folder of too many pics, showing how much fun I have working with leftover bits and pieces of this gorgeous yarn:   Date Night .  Fringe Fest! 😎 Sparkly Yarn + Creative Crochet = Colorful Fun

Peach Perfect, dude

Obviously, I had way too much fun posing these pieces.   😆 Just keepin' it real.  🤩 LOL! I love this guy. I feel like I dated him once.  😎 Ok, seriously now, here is what these pieces actually look like (below), when not pretending to be too dude cool. But, they're still totally cool, of course. 😎  The same basic pattern, all the same faves that I love (fringe, ruffle, too many colors and textures all at once). Check out the simplified instructions here: First Post (the "Process" section is at the bottom of that first post.) So easy and relaxing to make, I just keep on making them. The only thing I love more than making them is giving them away to friends and family. 😍 And I keep on accumulating the leftovers. I love these little leftovers! These few bits and pieces will be added to my collection of way too many more bits and pieces. ( Colorful Leftovers. ) Some day, I'm gonna make something out of it all. Stay tuned. 😁 Looking straight down here, with all ...

Snow Day

"Cloud Cakes" was a possible name for this set. Also "Vanilla Chinchilla." (That's not actually the name of a color scheme? Well, it should be! 😎) I had to let go of "Foggy Faux Fur," but I kept " Marshmallow Fluff ." (That's the name of the folder where I have way too many photos of these fun pieces.) I love making up names for color schemes. Especially this set! I did already kinda know that white has so many more whites than just plain white. But this sweet quartet of whites really made me appreciate plain old plain white. 🤩 Snow, cloud, vanilla, marshmallow. White and more white, nuthin' but white. And still so much fun! Off white, creamy white, pearly white, bright white. I kept going with whites for a while, because I hadn't done it before. 😁 So many textures here, I love how they stack up. Aw, look how sweet these whites look, all comfy and curled up on Burgun-Dee-Lish-Us . That is a good pairing. Can't get more co...

Pink'n'Peach Princess Party

Image
This fun bunch makes for two "Princess Party" posts in a row now, after Purple Princess Party.  And it isn't the first time there has been too much fun going on: there was a  Costume Party , and we had an  Office Party , and don't forget my fave  Pillow Party . So this newest collection is a quintet of peach'y pink pieces that honors a party tradition going way back. A tradition that is now moving forward to a future of more flouncy fun. 😍 Too fluffy? No way. Too many frills? Never. Texture combinations gone wild? Yes, obviously. And what of it? 😎  Too much fringe? Well... maybe.  😁 But, fringe is just so fun! I couldn't stop. 🤩 All five of these fun pieces worked up fast and easy. No fancy stitch work here, just the same simple mesh pattern that I've been playing with for years (as explained in the original post ). The layers of complexity come from clashing colors and textures. Clashing in a good way. Clashing with crazy cool colors. Pink and ...
