Almond Butter

Image
I absolutely love how pretty this little scarf turned out! It is just so sweet and simple, I want to make a million more just like this . 😄 I love everything about it: the color is so natural, the shape is sturdy but soft, and the whole look and feel of it is practical, pretty, and just plain fabulous. 🤩 Nothing fancy here, just my same fave simple mesh pattern, that I first described here: original post from the mists of time . Not too big, and no fluffy ruffle, just a bit of easy fringe, and a wonderful earth-toned color that sometimes looks toasted golden, and in certain light looks almost creamy. I love it when a simple color isn't so simple. 😍   I've had a long term love affair with earth tones, and I'm obsessed with natural colors, and I will never stop feeling passionate about these delish flavors. 😆  Carmel Mocha Chocolate and Wine Earth Tones Sand Sparkle Comfy Cozy I thought that Almond Butter is the perfect name for this color, although "honey whea...

Candy Cakes

Image
All my faves: colorful fun, fringe, ruffle, scarf cakes, unicorn rope. Why do I keep doing this?!  😂 Nothing new here, just a simple mesh pattern with a few fun'zies. 😍  Color fun! 🤩 Fringe Fest! Ruffle Love! 😍 Unicorn Rope - starter chain fun, my fave use of leftovers. Does this pile of crochet projects have too many color combinations going on? Never! 😄 Here is a whole folder of more colors: Candy Cakes .  Colorful Crochet + Ruffles + Fringe = Creative Fun

Holiday Yarn Pile

Image
A labor of love. I tried and tried, and tried again (and again, twice) to make this work. In two locations, three different geometries. A love-hate relationship. I had to give up. Let it go. I cannot make a Christmas tree out of my yarn. But I can keep dreaming. 😂 The good news is, I have a fantastic "yarn pile tree skirt scarf thing" here, and some day I may figure out how to actually use it as a yarn tree skirt. 😋 Christmas Tree Skirt I have a long love affair going with Christmas fun! 😍 And it's only December 1st right now, stay tuned. I'll soon be adding to this colorful list: Candy Cane Ruffle Centerpieces Wintergreen Winter Mint Blue Christmas Candy Snow Snow Day

Pink'palooza

This pretty pink piece is the perfect friend for Whimsical Witch . I had way too much fun posing the pink. Here's a whole folder of too much Pink'y Pink .  And I love these two together: Black & Pink .   This gorgeous piece goes perfect with a jean jacket (above)  AND with a pink winter coat (below).  I love how it looks! 😍 Love that little pin (below), a sweet gift from a fellow fiber-arts nerd, Kavee Divine. 😍 This special pin is like a secret symbol for a crochet cult. 😆 Nothing fancy here, nothing new. Just the same ol'easy'peasy mesh pattern that I love doing.  I've made a few of these over the years. 😁 Aw, look how cute! So comfy on the couch.  😍 Love that texture! Pink'a'licious Piece + Faux Fur = Colorful Crochet

Whimsical Witch

A perfect piece for Halloween fun, and also great anytime anywhere (look how gorgeous it goes with my jean jacket, below). 😎 I absolutely love the sparkling darkness of this piece. 😍 The black color is so deep and rich, and the metallic thread running through it is such sweet twinkling fun. And, of course, I had to have a little fringe fest going on, for even more fun. 😁 Then, there is faux fur trim on one edge, which adds even more richness to the richness 😆, and the ruffle on the other edge is just a touch of whimsy on top of this already fully whimsical piece. 🤩 These photos are fun, but they don't capture how cute that sparkle actually is. 🤩 Faux fur on one edge (above), and ruffle on the other edge (below). I might have had too much fun posing this piece. 😁 Here is a whole folder full of poses: Wonderfully Witchy .  It is kind of like a shawl, but not quite the right shape. Kinda too big for a scarf, but can still be a scarf. Too small to be a blanket, but who sa...

Pretty, Simple

Image
Nuthin' new here, just my same old, easy'peasy fave thing to do. 😄 Simple mesh pattern , with a little bit of bling and flair: fringe on one piece, a bit of ruffle on the other piece. And with the leftovers , I did my other lil'fave number, another starting chain piece, this time with a cute pom 'fringe'dangly bit on each end. Way too much fun. 😎   This was a new yarn for me, and wow! Fancy. Love the look and feel of it, gorgeous texture, great color. I will definitely be getting more of this, and I didn't even mind paying full price. 😁 The wool-mohair blend is now my new fave. I bought this yarn at a local sewing shop, Stitcher's Garden. They don't have a big yarn selection, since they focus on sewing. I still love going in there, because it's a place I know Mom would love.  😍  I found their little yarn section, and they had these two gems (above), in Fuchsia and Rosy Velvet, so I snagged'em.   Look how fantastic this is with my jean jacke...

Quartet Plush

Image
Yummy yarn from Yarned & Dangerous plus my fave easy peasy pattern equals a quartet of cuties that worked up fast and fun. This chenille yarn is so luxurious and lovely, I am delighted with the look and feel of it. It has just enough bulk to be winter worthy, but still has a light-as-air fluffiness about it. Dee-lish-us! 😍 I have a long history of loving the luxury of chenille yarn. For example, Unicorn Camouflage is pastel perfection with chenille softness, while  Snow Day  combines multiple textures along with gorgeous chenille. Other texture combinations with chenille are featured in G.I. Jane , Sage and Sand ,  Blue Christmas , What a Mess , Clouds and Sunshine , Princess Pillow , and all of these parites: Costume Party , Pillow Party , Purple Princess Party , Pink'n'Peach Princess Party . Oh, my, I do believe there could be a pattern of having too much fun here. Well, but, no! A girl can never have too much fun with textures. 😎 And now, back to this Quartet ...

Glitter Fest

This sparkly yarn is so fun to work with, and I love how it looks and feels. 😍 I t has a little bit of stretch to it, and still holds its shape really well. The yarn is called "Date Night," and even though I haven't been on a date in 35 years 😆  I still love it.  I have multiple leftovers from various projects, and I just can't throw out even a short string of this. I have plans now to take all t he leftovers and make a handful of tassels. 😎  Here's a folder of too many pics, showing how much fun I have working with leftover bits and pieces of this gorgeous yarn:   Date Night .  Fringe Fest! 😎 Sparkly Yarn + Creative Crochet = Colorful Fun

Green Pieces

Image
These two green pieces are perfect summer fun! On the left is a mesh shawl of medium weight "Soft Secret" yarn, in lime. And on the right is a simple scarf of sc stitches, with light weight "Coboo" yarn in the perfectly named color of grass green. Both pieces have a fluffy edging of "Terryspun" yarn, in a color called glow, which is faintly green and perfectly fun. I loved making these garden party lovlies because it is just so doggone enjoyable to make pretty pieces that are as easy peas'y summer breezy as these. 😍 And because I used up some leftover fuzzy yarn that is hard to work with, but makes perfect edging. Win, win! 😎   Look how great both pieces go with my jean jacket! 🤩 I love the texture and feel of both pieces, each with a different look. The larger shawl is a simple mesh pattern, like the one described in the first post: Piles of Color.   And the smaller scarf is just a long skinny rectangle of sc. Easy peas'y summer breezy! 😎 F...
