Bag-o-rama

I absolutely love this fun'n'friendly bag pattern that my Crochet_Nerd_Girlfriend, Trisha, gave me! 😎 The original pattern has asymmetrical handles (see below for Trisha's perfect version), but I modified mine with the skinny straps you see above. I combined two skeins, one pure white and one a "flower garden" color scheme (thanks,  Yarned & Dangerous ), to make it nice'n'sturdy. And this easy breeze'y pattern is so easy-peas'y because it just goes round'n'round. Here's what that looks like:   No turning after each row, just keep going, and it builds all the way up, to whatever height you want to make it. As in: Folder of Colorful Fun . I am so into this pattern, I kept going and going, and just ended up going crazy. 😍 It's the good kinda' crazy. 😁 Next up is a set of 4 pictures that Trisha sent me, of her work and her work-in-progress. Check this out: Just look at how cool those asymmetrical handles are! First, she did a...

Baggy Bags

Image
These bags are easy, breezy! I might be making more in a bunch of different colors. 😍   It was an easy pattern, from The Crochet Crowd: Modern Granny Boho Bag   I love it that it starts out as a granny square, and eventually becomes this baggy bag. 😎  And a surprisingly roomy bag, too! The pattern is easily adaptable, and for my next trick, I might just keep on going an extra round or two, and make this baggy, roomy bag even baggier and even roomier. 🤩 I had fun adding and modifying. For the first piece (on the left, above), I followed the pattern exactly. Then, for the second piece (on the right, above), I added a few blingy blings, and had fun with fringe. Later, I also had way too much fun posing these pieces. 😍😎 Here is a folder full of way too many more fun photos:  Baggy Bags

Hippie Princess Beach Bag

Image
Purple and pink plus fringe and ruffle, all in one simple mesh bag! That is an accessory every Hippie Princess needs for the beach. This bargain yarn was taking up space on my overloaded craft shelf. I needed an easy project to make it go away fast, and this mesh beach bag was the perfect solution. So simple, and it turned out so cute. The basic pattern is a rectangle'ish single crochet mesh, keep going until one skein is used up. Fold it in half, and with the other skein, stitch up the sides, add a shoulder strap (I had to ruffle it just a teeny bit), and fringe it up for the love of fringe. Perfect Princess colors and Hippie fun. This piece is super floppy, because of the mesh being all sc stitches. I used a size I crochet hook for the whole thing, including the edge connection, shoulder strap, and ruffle. Because it doesn't hold its shape at all,  it is difficult to get a sense of scale in these photos. It might look a bit small, but this bag is surprisingly roomy inside....
