Pseudo Spheres

So happy I found this lost treasure! It was under my bed, behind a bin, in a dust-bunny covered bag. I thought I had left them behind at my previous school, but lo and behold! I had lugged them along with me in the move, and then forgot about them. Such a fun colorful collection, these six rediscovered, plus the new two (from Spheres of Tranquility ), makes an octet of awesome. I had way too much fun posing them all.

So fun to make! These spheres look fantastically cool when you make a bunch and arrange them in some nerdy way - like planets and moons! 😁 I had made several of them a few years ago, in different sizes and spectacular color schemes, for my classroom. But I left them all behind at my previous school, and I am now wanting to make a new collection. I was feeling out of practice on this technique. So, I dug out my old friend, this excellent book: - and immediately found the pattern I had used. Woo-hoo, I'm thinking about a whole new colorful set of these delightful spheres. I remember I made one that was almost as big as a volleyball, and that was my Jupiter example, so cool! Super excited to start working back up to a big geeky collection of these, now in all the colors of the exoplanets. 😎 These two little purple'y ones are just practice, to get back into it. I was quite rusty on remembering the pattern, and I had to keep checking the book every few stitches.  But I just need

Pillow talk! 😎 I had so much fun making this pillow. Camouflage colors (from leftover yarn of a fave previous project, that Frank now likes to call Baby Camy ) on one side, and earth tones (of the giant granny square leftover from The Beast ) on the other side. This is my first attempt ever at pillow creation, and it is not perfect... but it maybe gets a passing grade... almost. 😋  I didn't follow a pattern, because I already had the giant granny square ready to go for one side. I figured I could stitch something together for the other side, and that should make for a perfect pillow. I decided I didn't need a pattern... hmmm... maybe next time I should take a look at a pillow pattern. My leftover-granny-square method is probably why there are plenty of puckers on this pillow. 😁 I figured this lumpy pillow could maybe be used as back support, or a foot rest. But it is now getting actual sleepy-time head use. Frank claims he doesn't mind the plumps, puckers, and imperfec
