Under Color Crochet

  All my faves: colorful fun, fringe, ruffle, scarf cakes, unicorn rope. Why do I keep doing this?!  😂 Nothing new here, just a simple mesh pattern with a few fun'zies. 😍  Color fun! 🤩 Fringe Fest! These cuties are all wrapped up like a Christmas present! They are just little ruffles, gently twisted - wound up to be twirlie-whirlies. And, when I say, "just ruffles," I don't actually mean JUST ruffles. 😁 I mean they are just too cute, and way too much ruffle'y fun. Like a little Christmas toy for crochet geeks. 😎 Twisted super tight, and then folded into a circle, these little twirly toys turn into wreaths! How cute is that?! 😍 This is the perfect way to use up yarn leftovers and scrappy bits of random colors. Twisted together like this, anything goes, and everything works.  Peachy, pink, and orange? Yes, please!  Ruffles look so magical in any color, they're perfect for holiday decorations. Even in non-traditional colors, these twirly toys just feel like cute Christmas curls.       Aw! This makes me so happy: my dearest cousin, Cathy, opening boxes from me. 😍 I sent a few small boxes of my simple stuff, just the usual colorful creations that I love making. And I love it even more when those creative crochet pieces go to a good home. 😎 Free-To-Good-Home could be the title of this blog, instead of Under Color Crochet. 😁 Because all of my crochet items are donated to friends, family, and organizations that can best make use of them. And Cathy is using them to cheer, warm, and inspire her students! I am absolutely thrilled about that. 🤩 In the snapshot above, Cathy has just opened the box with the gray sister of Sister Shawls .   And below, she is opening the box that contains one of the two Devil'icious pieces. The other sister of Sister Shawls and the other Devil'icious piece went to Inara... What's a gal gonna do with one bag and two bins full of leftover yarn? 😁 Scrappy projects and trashy treasures! 🤩 In the photo above, t hat's three year's worth of bits and pieces. Yes, it's been three years since the last time I posted about this love of mine: Colorful Leftovers . So, this makes it a regular routine now. 😎 So many fun projects in these bags and bins, so much love and color. 😍 All those crochet items, long gone now, but never forgotten. Free to good homes. And so many more on the way.  I love making scrappy poms (above)! I don't like them tight and fluffy, but you can easily trim these and make them that way. I prefer this loose and floppy look, because it reminds me of a cute cartoon character, or an adorable sea creature.
