Pillow Party

So delightful! Four pillows in a pile, all different sizes and each with its own colorful flair. Tied up with the cheerful bow of  Coral Snake , this fluffy stack of ruffled fun would make a cute gift for a bridal or baby shower. I'm thinking about entering the whole fun bundle in the state fair... but judges will look too close and find all the imperfections too fast. 😎 A few old lumpy pillows easily transformed into this stack of puffy ruffles! Don't look too close. The lumpy stuffing is still lumpy. 😋 I just didn't want to throw out big old pillows, and this project was already percolating in my mind. After running the bumpy blobs through the wash one more time, they smelled so clean and fresh, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with those old pillows - make new pillows! 😃 Aw, look! There's Baby Beast, trying to join the pillow party! 😎 All different kinds of ruffles! Love those ruffle details. This pillow (below) is all one kind of yarn, Baby Soft Boucle, in

So summer'y! Love these peach'y-pink'y colors! It was super easy to make this quick'n'crazy piece. Just one skein (bargain yarn), simple mesh pattern, nothing fancy. No ruffle (although, I was tempted!), and just a touch of fringe on both ends (couldn't help myself!), because these juicy colors don't need any added sweetener.  I know it looks outrageously long... but I do have a purpose in mind (see below)...I have a plan for all that length... maybe. I reserve the right to change my mind at any time, without warning or logic.   ðŸ˜Ž  I had fun posing this piece, so charming! It is stiff, and holds its shape well in every direction. The yarn is coarse, almost scratchy, but that's barely an issue, because the sweet colors make up for the cheap texture. It is kind of an issue, though, if you actually wanted to wear this piece as a scarf... it might not be too comfortable. Just saying. Scratchy. But who cares?! When it is this cute on the hook, you shoul

This is a beauty that compliments  The Beast . My burgundy luxury is not quite as big as Frank's Beast, but it is every bit as comfy-cozy. I absolutely loved making this luscious piece, and it is my personal prized possession now, for bedroom and living room. I'll have to wait a few months, though, to be able to use it. Finishing it right as summer is just getting started was accidental bad planning. But, no problem. I can still enjoy looking at it. 😎 I used a size N crochet hook and five skeins of super bulky yarn for this lovely lady. It worked up fast and easy, but it did get heavy and harder to turn every row, thanks to all that bulk. No complaints, though, over this labor of love. For gorgeous texture I added a triple stitch ruffle around the long sides, and a double stitch ruffle along the short edges (all dc stitches in the base stitch). Then I added fringe to one of the short ends, which gives it a fun asymmetry. The fringe took as long to do as the blanket itself, a
