New Year Fringe Fest Ruffle'mania

So much happening in this picture, I can't stop staring. And I can't decide which detail I want more. 😎 The fringe, obviously. But, also those ruffles. And then, there's the compressed yarn scraps in those cool containers. All the things I love the most. 😍 Over Christmas break I had plenty of crochet time, and I binged on all my favorites: easy patterns, colorful combinations, and all the embellishments. This three-piece set got more embellished every hour. From ruffle to double-ruffle, and from fringe fest to monster fringe fest. 🤩

I love them hanging out, and I love them all bundled up. With the right posing, they almost look like three cozy characters in a crochet adventure. Hey, that sounds like an idea for board game design. 😁 Yes, stay tuned. My fantastically creative cousin, Cathy, and my spectacularly nerdy brother, Frank, and I are all in geek plan mode, starting to develop a board game based on crochet. We are open to your discussion. Post questions, or anything on your mind, in the comments below, and I'll reply to you.  😎 Meanwhile, just look at how cute these crochet characters are! 

Too much fringe? Never.

I have a long term love affair with ruffles: Princess Party, Garter Snake, and G.I. Jane - just three examples of so many past projects of ruffle'mania. And do I even need to mention... Ruffle Monster ?! 😎 Then there's my other long term love affair - fringe. I have so many fringe fests, it is beyond festive, it is an obsession: Hippie Fringe, What a Mess, Fireworks Cake Volcano Circus. I could go on. Peachy Purse

  I'm completely in love with the newspaper , Crochet Nation . 😍 I made this little peachy purse starting with their pattern instructions for the "Fringe Clutch," issue 2, page 4. With a few of my own experimental modifications. Because, you had me at fringe. 😄 But, then I decided it was not enough fringe. 😎 Thank you, Crochet Nation , for the inspiration, and for being awesome. 😘 As you can see below, and in the Peachy Purse folder, my final product is just a rough draft. It needs some blocking, and next time maybe some closer attention to stitch counts, plus I think a little bit more fringe. 😆 Still, not bad for a quick whip-it-up piece that is just cute as a button and sweet as a peach.  I am obsessed with fringe'y purses.
