Earth and Mars

These two pieces came together easy and made a perfect pair of sparkly pals. Both have the same simple mesh pattern I've been having fun with (in recent projects like Moon Stone and Caramel Mocha), and both are loaded with fringe. Love it! 😍On a whim, I decided to add ruffles to the Earth piece, perhaps to simulate ocean waves, or cloudy sky, or just ruffly sparkle free form fun.

I'm obsessed with the range of reds in the Mars piece. Each row revealed a new layer of complexity in how to describe another reddish glow. There's a delicious looking row of apple cinnomen, in between rows of sienna and slate. Sometimes the names of the colors don't sound as gorgeous as they look - rust, clay, brick, burnt ochre. But with that metallic thread running through them all, I promise those red variations combine with shine. There's even mud-mixed-with-wine, I don't know what else to call it. 😎

It is a long road to gorgeous.🤩

This is where texture meets color, and they explode together.

Both pieces look great with my jean jacket. The only problem now is deciding which one looks more fabulous. Oh, yes, and then there will be the next problem of how to fabulously wrap it. 😁

Fringe, sparkle, and ruffle. That's all.🤩

Just hanging around.😀

Fring fest!

Aw, look! There's Earth and Mars all snuggled up together on Burgun-Dee-Lish-usThat's my cozy bedspread (yet another variation of red!), that I made in June, like a silly dilly.😁It has ruffles and fringe, too. But no sparkle.

One more snuggle shot.

One last look at gorgeousness.
