Peach Perfect, dude

Image
Obviously, I had way too much fun posing these pieces.   😆 Just keepin' it real.  🤩 LOL! I love this guy. I feel like I dated him once.  😎 Ok, seriously now, here is what these pieces actually look like (below), when not pretending to be too dude cool. But, they're still totally cool, of course. 😎  The same basic pattern, all the same faves that I love (fringe, ruffle, too many colors and textures all at once). Check out the simplified instructions here: First Post (the "Process" section is at the bottom of that first post.) So easy and relaxing to make, I just keep on making them. The only thing I love more than making them is giving them away to friends and family. 😍 And I keep on accumulating the leftovers. I love these little leftovers! These few bits and pieces will be added to my collection of way too many more bits and pieces. ( Colorful Leftovers. ) Some day, I'm gonna make something out of it all. Stay tuned. 😁 Looking straight down here, with all ...

Snow Day

"Cloud Cakes" was a possible name for this set. Also "Vanilla Chinchilla." (That's not actually the name of a color scheme? Well, it should be! 😎) I had to let go of "Foggy Faux Fur," but I kept " Marshmallow Fluff ." (That's the name of the folder where I have way too many photos of these fun pieces.) I love making up names for color schemes. Especially this set! I did already kinda know that white has so many more whites than just plain white. But this sweet quartet of whites really made me appreciate plain old plain white. 🤩 Snow, cloud, vanilla, marshmallow. White and more white, nuthin' but white. And still so much fun! Off white, creamy white, pearly white, bright white. I kept going with whites for a while, because I hadn't done it before. 😁 So many textures here, I love how they stack up. Aw, look how sweet these whites look, all comfy and curled up on Burgun-Dee-Lish-Us . That is a good pairing. Can't get more co...

Sunny One

This piece has the look and feel of a warm sunny day in January. 🤩 Nuthin' fancy, nuthin' new here. Just the same easy rectangle that I love making. Same simple mesh pattern (click here to see the steps) . Can't say it's very special, this one single piece... aw, but look at it! Super sunny special. 🌞 I love how soft and sweet it is, the yarn is perfectly named "So Soft." Plus it has a subtle sheen that makes it look like an actual ray of sunshine.  I love how it keeps changing color, depending on the lighting and background. My phone camera sometimes couldn't decide where to go with this yellow, I had to chuckle when I watched it adjust itself to the color each time. Sometimes buttery golden, sometimes more lemony yellow, sometimes almost orange'ish-but-not-quite. This color is so full and yet still cozy, it says complex. Ah, makes me think of fine wine. Hmm, sounds good right about now. 🤩 The yarn company calls this color "Saffron," and...

Centerpieces

Staff Christmas Party!! What a great way to give away colorful fun!  😎  I helped decorate the tables at our staff Christmas party, and I was allowed to put a crochet piece or two, or three  🤩  on each table. If this snazzy stack looks familiar (remember, that back-loop-only trick?! so easy, so snazzy) , it is because it first appeared here: Comfy Cozy . Now, as a centerpiece, this trio of cuddle bundles is even snazzier. Every fun table at this event had a unique look, and the whole place sparkled with festive flavor. Ten tables in all, twenty crochet pieces arranged in their centers. I had way to much fun posing these pieces. 😍 Every one of these pretty pieces has recently appeared in a post on this blog, and it looks like there's been a lot of parties going on!  😎    Party 1  (for those pinky-peach party lovers) and   Party 2   (for those purple lovin' lovers). Oh, and  there was a previous party of inspir...
