The award winning photo above is all about me, plain and simple, plus the wonders of nature in the outdoors. 😆 Thanks, Crochet Nation, for the inspiration. I had some delightful fun posing for that silly photo, with my first silly hat. And my brother wins the award for most patient old Army guy in the galaxy. Famous crochet supermodel, Marzie, makes this silly hat look like a million dollar fun fest! 😍 Actually, her sweet curls make the hat look positively boring. 😂 Marzie is the granddaughter of my dear cousin, Linda, who is also a famous crochet model herself: New Orleans Winter  I have a long term love affair going on with accessories. 🤩 The original post was just the beginning, Silly Hats. I keep adding to this collection: Crochet Silly Hats  And more are on the way - stay tuned for a swamp wedding themed pair of hats. 😎


And I had way too much fun with this silliest of silly creations. It is reversible! This wacky hat is a fringe fest one way (above), and embellishment'o'rama the other way (below).

  I absolutely love how pretty this little scarf turned out! Peachy Purse

  I'm completely in love with the newspaper , Crochet Nation . 😍 I made this little peachy purse starting with their pattern instructions for the "Fringe Clutch," issue 2, page 4. With a few of my own experimental modifications. Because, you had me at fringe. 😄 But, then I decided it was not enough fringe. 😎 Thank you, Crochet Nation , for the inspiration, and for being awesome. 😘 As you can see below, and in the Peachy Purse folder, my final product is just a rough draft. It needs some blocking, and next time maybe some closer attention to stitch counts, plus I think a little bit more fringe. 😆 Still, not bad for a quick whip-it-up piece that is just cute as a button and sweet as a peach.  I am obsessed with fringe'y purses. "Unboxing Becky"

      Aw! This makes me so happy: my dearest cousin, Cathy, opening boxes from me. 😍 I sent a few small boxes of my simple stuff, just the usual colorful creations that I love making. And I love it even more when those creative crochet pieces go to a good home. 😎 Free-To-Good-Home could be the title of this blog, instead of Under Color Crochet. 😁 Because all of my crochet items are donated to friends, family, and organizations that can best make use of them. And Cathy is using them to cheer, warm, and inspire her students! I am absolutely thrilled about that. 🤩 In the snapshot above, Cathy has just opened the box with the gray sister of Sister Shawls .   And below, she is opening the box that contains one of the two Devil'icious pieces.
