Boss's Baby Blankie

The Plan! 🤩 Make a baby blanket, that the Dean of Extended Studies will like. 😎  It has to be soft and sweet, for a baby. But it can't be too baby'ish. 😁 And it has to be ready in time for the baby shower. 🎉 I worked on it pretty much every evening for about a month, never rushed, but always focused on getting it done. I enjoyed every colorful minute of this labor of love project.

I absolutely loved making this baby shower gift. 😍 A giant granny square, with a double ruffle around the whole edge = perfect baby blanket. Six skeins of yarn for the granny square, and another two skeins of white for the double ruffle. Wow! Big blankie. Big, big, baby blankie. 😎

Here's a video of my boss and her husband, opening the gift:

I started with white in the center, and kept going around with the colors, eight times. Six times eight is forty-eight, yes! Forty-eight rounds! This baby is a beast. 😍

My fave thing about this big blankie is the double ruffle:

My other fave thing about this big blankie is...big, big, big baby blankie. 😆

This biggie big big baby blankie is so very soft, because the yarn (Soft Secret) is gorgeously luxurious and feels like a silky cloud. It has just a little bit of sheen to it, that makes it look dreamy and perfect for baby naps. Here is a whole folder of more photos: Granny Baby Boss

I also had a little more fun crocheting a few do-dads and funzies, using the leftovers. There was just enough colorful yarn leftover to make a small scarf (fringe fest!), a sturdy little granny square (perfect pot holder), and a couple of my fave starting chain unicorn ropes. 🤩 Here's a folder of a pics showing a few more colorfully fun pieces: Granny Baby Boss, leftovers
