Bookmarks

This little collection of bookmarks is made from the leftover yarn of the glorious shawl project. Which I'm still dreaming about. And may repeat someday soon, with more of this silk-mohair yarn, or something very similar, maybe another color. Love it so much, can't stop obsessing over it. And these sweet bookmarks kept me occupied with touching and loving and feeling this gorgeous yarn again. Now I want more. More mohair, more silk.  😎

This is my first time making bookmarks, and I am now a true fan. These are fun, easy pieces that work up quick, and all look a little bit different - because I keep tweeking the basic patterns 😁 to have more fun. I will definitely make more bookmarks in the future, with different yarn. And I plan on exploring other patterns. For this set, I used variations of two patterns from different books. One pattern (below on the left) is not even a bookmark - it is the pattern for crescent braid edging. The other pattern (below on the right) is specifically a bookmark pattern. I had so much fun with both.

  This amazing piece took first place at the Colorado State Fair! The super friendly artist, Christine Fleetwood, explained to me that the pattern (Twisted Toadstool) is available here: The Twisted Hatter . Wow! I may or may not decide to try that some day. Swampy Amigurumi

  I crocheted a few playful pieces as a wedding gift for Brian & Kendall. 😍 Their Swamp Wedding theme was the inspiration for this collection, and I had so much fun making it all! Every piece was a learning curve for me, and a little adventure. This was my first time doing amigurumi, and now I'm all in. 😎 So grateful to the mother of the groom, my New Orleans cousin, Linda, for the design inspiration on this theme.
