Crochet Gawking

This amazing piece took first place at the Colorado State Fair! The super friendly artist, Christine Fleetwood, explained to me that the pattern (Twisted Toadstool) is available here: The Twisted Hatter. Wow! I may or may not decide to try that some day. Christine told me that the pattern is "not super complicated," and I almost kinda believe her a little bit maybe. 😆 I am in awe of Christine's crochet skills - this incredibly talented artist is here: TheSaltyStitchery on Etsy. And here: TheSaltyStichery on Facebook. Here's a folder of a few more pics of this gorgeous piece at the Colorado State Fair: Crochet Envy and Awe 1. When I grow up, I want to be just like Christine. 😁

And now, next up, in this gawker report:

This incredible piece is on display in the Financial Aid office at CSUP. Yes! If you're in Pueblo, you can go see this crochet art gallery yourself, and be awestruck like I was. When I first saw this, I was escorting a student here, and this piece stopped me in my tracks. 🤩 Here's a folder of more pics of this piece and one other, in this delightful mini-gallery of crochet art: Crochet Envy and Awe 2.
